Copyright & DMCA Policy

Effective October 6, 2026 · BaitKast is operated by THE HARD WAY COMPANY, LLC.

If someone posted your work on BaitKast without permission, send us a notice and we'll remove it. BaitKast respects copyright and follows the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512). This covers photos, text and other content posted by users. For a post that breaks other rules, use Report in the app instead.

Send your notice to our designated copyright agent. It must include all six items the law requires, or we may not be able to act on it.

Copyright Agent: BaitKast / THE HARD WAY COMPANY, LLC, P.O. Box 128, Galesville, MD 20765 · copyright@baitkast.com

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name works by email).
  2. The copyrighted work you say was copied (for example, a link to your original photo or article).
  3. Where the copied material is on BaitKast: the Pro's name or BaitKast ID and the post, ideally with a screenshot.
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable the material promptly, tell the person who posted it, and send them a copy of your notice (we may remove your phone number first).

If your content was removed by mistake

If you believe your post was removed by mistake or misidentified, send a counter-notice to the same Copyright Agent. We restore the post in 10 to 14 business days unless the person who complained tells us they've filed a lawsuit.

A counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. What was removed and where it was on BaitKast before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and phone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, and that you'll accept service of legal papers from the person who sent the original notice.

We send your counter-notice to the person who complained.
